Corpus Medicorum returns in 2025 with an extraordinary year of music entitled ‘Atmosphere’.

The Atmosphere envelops us, lets us breathe and keeps us alive. We are contained within its ethereal mass - we cannot physically feel it nor see it but it is vital to our very existence. Just like Music…. Music is the creative air we breathe. It keeps us warm and safe, and gives us room to live and express our humanity.

This year’s programmes are the embodiment of Atmosphere - Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Ravel, Wagner and more. In each work we find great musical expression which gives breath to our lives. We welcome the return of our chief conductor Fabian Russell and our very special guests Natsuko Yoshimoto, Stefan Cassomenos, Kristian Chong, Lee Abrahmsen & Warwick Fyfe.

Added to this are two special events - a tour to Portugal in September as guests of the Iberian Medical Orchestra for two performances of Mahler’s Symphony No.1 plus a Memorial Performance for ANZAC Day of Brahm’s A German Requiem in St Paul’s Cathedral.

We begin our Atmospheric Journey in 2025 with none other than György Ligeti’s ‘Atmosphère’ and finish the year with another Gala Concert - A Night at the Opera.

Music is just like the Atmosphere - we cannot live without it! Join your favourite musical medics for an unforgettable 2025.
